Despite a poor run of results, Finn Harps manager Ollie Horgan says his side is up for the challenge that second in the table Bohemians will pose in Ballybofey tomorrow night (kick-off 8.00).
The visitors will be aiming to consolidate their position with a victory and are 15 points ahead of Harps in the Premier Division table.
In fact Bohs have only lost once this season so Horgan acknowledges that not many can see the hosts taking the three points at Finn Park. However, the Harps boss says that despite being bottom of the table his players still have the belief that they can win tomorrow night’s game.
“We haven’t won a game and that’s a fact that we cant get away from going into the Bohs match but the players still very much believe in themselves and will go out to win the game tomorrow night. Now, being realistic about it, not many will give us a chance of doing that. We have moved on from the Derry defeat and the focus has been on the Bohemians game since Saturday.
They are a very good side and kept their good form going against Sligo Rovers last Saturday night. Keith Long and Trevor Crolly have an excellent pool of players. They have only lost once this season so it’s going to be a really tough one for us to get a result. In the first game of the season up in Dalymount when we played them, Dinny Corcoran got the goal and it ended it 1-0. It came before half-time and after we had done quite well for a spell. They were much better in the second and we were on the back foot till the last ten minutes. We did push hard to get an equaliser but apart, I think, from one opening we didn’t create a real chance.”
