Hundreds of people turned out this evening for Irish soccer star Seamus Coleman in his native Donegal.

The 0ccasion was a fundraiser for his former club St. Catherine's FC of Killybegs.

Coleman, the Republic of Ireland captain and popular Everton full-back, is currently recovering from a double leg break back in March.

He hopes to be back playing again in the months ahead although he is not setting any target date for his return.

"It's going well and there have been no set-backs, fingers crossed it will keep going that way," he said.

The event was held in the Blue Haven in Kilcar where there was a question and answer session with Ocean FM's Pauric Byrne.
