Letterkenny Rovers' FAI Intermediate Cup adventure is over for another season.

This afternoon they lost out to four-times winners, Crumlin United, 2-1 in Dublin, in the fourth round.

Alan McGreal grabbed two first-half goals to pave the way to victory.

Rovers had chances in the second half and felt they should have had a penalty following a stern challenge on Darren McElwaine.

Rovers did pull one back through Declan Sharkey two minutes into injury time to give the Eamon McConigley managed side hope but it was too little, too late and Crumlin held on for victory.

Rovers, who reached the final in 2015/2016 where they lost out 5-0 to Crumlin - will now turn their attention back to the Four Lanterns Ulster Senior League.
