The SSE Airtricity League kicks-off this Friday with the first series of games in the Premier Division.

So how do the ground compare with those in equivalent leagues such as the Northern Ireland Premier League, Scottish First Divison and Welsh Premier Division?

Check out the videos below.

It should be noted that the League of Ireland version below is for the 2017 season so Finn Harps. Drogheda United and Galway are included. All three were relegated. The footage of the Brandywell Statium was taken prior to the redevelopment programme. Derry, of course, played at Maginn Park in Buncrana last season. They will return to their new, revamped Brandywell home on Friday March 2nd when they take on Dundalk.

Derry's first game of the new season is away to Waterford this Friday. Finn Harps' first game is away to Drogheda on Friday week.

Supporters of the League of Ireland will note that the capacity of the grounds listed seems to be very much on the high side in the video clip below. The reality is that, with current health and safety regulations, the true capacity of some grounds is considerable less.
