Ireland's Sam and Chloe Magee, from Raphoe, are guaranteed of at least a bronze medal at the 2019 European Games in Minsk, Belarus.

The badminton stars won their quarter-final match this morning by defeating Robin Tabeling and Selena Piek of the Netherlands 21-19 21-17 to secure their place in the semi-finals.

Prior to this Sam and Chloe beat Aliaksei Konakh and Krestina Silich of Belarus 21-9 21-11 in final group stage match to progress into the quarter-finals.

Their first win against Evgenii Dremin and Evgenia Dimova of Russia proved to be crucial as it turned out to be one of the tightest groups in the competition.

Olympian Chloe Magee and her brother Sam are Ireland's top two mixed doubles players.
