Buncrana’s Mark Timlin is expected to shake off a hip flexor injury to start Derry City’s second leg European tie against Aberystwyth tomorrow night.

The 19 year-old Inishowen Youth and Schoolboys Academy graduate was a real shining light for Peter Hutton’s side on his European debut at Brandywell last Thursday as he netted his first goal for the club with a long range effort early in the second half to put City three ahead.

He picked up a hip injury in the 4-0 win however which forced him to sit out Sunday’s league trip to Athlone but has returned to training this week and travelled to Wales with the squad today.
