Over 2,000 people took part in the Cara Bundoran 10 Mile/10K Challenge today.
The rain just held off but the wind made for some testing conditions.

The 10 Mile feature race was won by defending champion John Travers of Donore Harriers in 53.01 ahead of Keith Shiels of Foyle Valley in 53.27.
The ladies 10 Mile was won by Teresa Doherty of Finn Valley in 59.40 with Fiona Stack of Raheny Shamrocks second in 1.02.08.
The 10k was won by Marcus McGowan in 37.17 ahead of Sligo AC's Matthew McMeekin in 37.53.
The first two ladies over the line in the 10k were the Sligo AC duo of Audrey Colreavy in 40.57 with Aoife Kilgallon in 41.31.
As always there was a great turn out of runners from a variety of clubs, and walkers as well as runners. Some of those who took part opted to change from 10k to 10 Miles with longer distance becoming increasingly popular.
Great credit is due to the organisers and all involved. A number of charities will benefit from proceeds raised.
