Gleneely Colts head into Saturday's Division Two title play-off final bursting with confidence.

Gavin McLaughlin's side beat league leaders Buncrana Reserves 4-3 in a nail-biting season finale at Castle Park on Sunday to draw level on points, and now the two sides must go again at Maginn to decide who will be crowned this year's champions.

McLaughlin is confident his team can get the victory and says it would mean everything for the club and the Gleneely community if they could pull it off.

“We’re definitely confident," he said, "but it’s going to be a battle. It’s like a cup final and anything can happen in a cup final.

"We haven’t won anything for over 15 years and we have come from nowhere, we lost a team, and then built it again from the ground up. So it would be great for the parish, as they say.”
