Donegal player Karl Lacey, who scored the opening point in Sunday’s final against Monaghan, represented his county team at today’s launch of the All-Ireland Football Series 2014 at the Mansion House, Dublin.
The All-Star award winner was among the three other provincial winning counties present to launch the GAA Championship.
The three other provincial champions were represented by James O’Donoghue (Kerry), Jonny Cooper (Dublin), and Robert Hennelly (Mayo).
The four counties, who are now through to the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland, now await the winning teams from Round 4A and Round 4B qualifier games.
Donegal had a superb double victory on Sunday in both the Ulster Senior and Minor Football Championship Finals, and sporting fans will now be turning their attention to the All-Ireland in the hope of bringing ‘Sam’ to the hills of Donegal once more.
