Donegal's Mark English won his sixth National Senior Indoor title in Abbottstown today at the Irish Life National Senior Indoor Championships.

The Letterkenny man ran a time of 1:51.77 to take the honours in the 800 metres final.

However, on the final straight by Zak Curran from Dundrum South Dublin AC pushed him hard, and in the end he held on to win by 0.14 seconds but looked comfortable.

Meanwhile, Finn Valley AC's Lauren Callaghan won bronze in the Triple Jump.

On Saturday, Sommer Lecky won the High Jump title while Brendan Boyce won silver in the 5k Walk and Geraldine Stewart of Tir Chonaill AC won bronze in the Shot Putt.
