Finn Harps have booked their place in the third round of the Ford FAI Cup after defeating Leinster Senior League side Belgrove/Home Farm 1-0 at Frank Cooke Park.

Pat McCann latched onto a Kevin McHugh pass to score the only goal of the game on eight minutes.

The home side's cause was not helped by the dismissal of Conor O'Keeffe after 18 minutes.

Meanwhile, Ulster Senior League champions Cockhill Celtic put up a great performance but lost 4-2 against last seasons cup finalists, Drogheda United.

Declan O'Brien put the Premier Division side ahead before Gerry Gill equalised with a penalty.

Gerard McLaughlin put Cockhill 2-1 up at the start of the second half, but Drogheda foughtr back and scored through Declan O'Brien (twice) and Gavan Holohan.
