Dylan Browne Mc Monagle made the long journey to Glenbeigh in Co Kerry at the weekend where the teenager recorded a double.
On Saturday Obi One Kinobi took the 143cm pony race and Dylan took the feature race the Glenbeigh Derby where he guided the prolific Half Price to glory making it back to back wins in the event.
The Letterkenny native has 72 wins for the season now with just one race meeting left in the Northwest region. That is in Garvagh Co Derry next Sunday, September 9. And with just one in the Southern region, Dylan needs four winners if he is to draw level with Jack Kennedy's all time record haul of 76 winners that was recorded a few years ago.
Browne Mc Monagle no matter what happens has had an outstanding year in the plate. He won both Northwest Champion jockey titles, Champion Jockey for a record third time in Dingle this year and has all but rubber stamped the All Ireland National Title.
Racing in Garvagh next Sunday is at 2.30 pm.
