Glengad United make the trip to Ballyare to play Gweedore Celtic this Sunday in the Ulster Junior Cup final where they bid to complete an unprecedented cup treble (Kick off 5pm).
Enjoying a tremendous season, manager Shane Byrne will look to add this prestigious competition to the North West Champions League and the William Grant League cup while they are still in contention for league honours.
It is likely that the experienced Gerard Crossan will start in goals with the reliable Michael McLaughlin as back up. John G McDermott, Matthew Byrne, Shane and Ruairi Doherty could be the starting back four although John G McLaughlin has been deployed there at times.
In midfield the likes of Charlie, Michael andAdam Byrne, John McDaid, Jason Doherty and Patrick McDermott will all be vying for starting slits while in attack the mercurial Terence Doherty plays the lone striker role excellently.
Other players like Seamus Doherty and Christopher Mclaughlin give plenty of options to the management.Glengad have had a very tough route to the final starting with a penalty shootout win over Glenea after a one all draw.
They followed that up with a superb three nil win in Monaghan before defeating Milford also away after extra time by two goals to one.In the semi final they had another narrow one nil win over Aileach.
In their route to the final Gweedore Celtic have overcome two premier division inishowen teams by narrow margin with a one nil home win over Redcastle before travelling to Clonmany and winning one nil in the semi final.
Both results should be enough to ensure that Glengad treat them with the respect they deserve and while neither team will know much about the other Glengad will start many peoples favourites.
