It’s half-time in St. Tiernach’s Park, Clones and Donegal are trailing Down by 12-points in the Ulster Senior Hurling Championship quarter-final.

Down scored the opening point of the game and while the Donegal side did respond with a point of their own the Down men soon took a steady lead over Ray Durack’s men.

After 15 minutes the Donegal hurlers were behind by 2-points, and 7 minutes later (22 minutes) they were trailing by 6-points.

Down now lead by a goal and 16-points with Donegal on 7-points.
