Finn Harps are feeling the financial pinch again.

The club has three successive away games this month - and the turnstiles at Finn Park won't be kicking again until Friday, August 29th when they host Shamrock Rovers "B".

Last weekend Harps went to Longford (a 200 mile return trip) - and carved out a good scoreless draw against the First Division leaders.

This coming Friday, they make the trek down to the south-east to tackle Waterford Unietd in the league (a round trip of just over 500 miles).

And the following weekend, it's another long trip as they go to Ferrycarrig Park (a return trip of just under 500 miles) to meet Wexford Youths in the FAI Cup.

And that means bills, bills, bills.

Harps are still just on the fringes of the promotion race and a couple of good wins in the coming weeks will help to boost home attendances.

An extended cup run is also on the wish list.

But a run of poor results will see the season tapering off, and small attendances for the final few home games.
