History was made today at the Irish women's side reached the finals of the World Cup.

They beat Spain in a dramatic penalty shoot-out in London.

The game ended 1-1 after normal time and after the regulation five penalty attempts each, they both scored twice.

It then went to sudden death and Ireland scored to make it 3-2 on penalties.

They will now play Australia or The Netherlands in the final.

Donegal has only one hockey club, in Raphoe.

This marvellous success is bound to have a huge knock on effect for the game in Ireland.

Here's the moment that won it.

This was Ireland's goal during normal time.
