A Fermanagh runner was the first female across the line in today's inaugural Magee 1866 sponsored Wild Atlantic Marathon.
Jenny Elliott York of Enniskillen running club clocked a greay time of 3:29:51 and was eighth overall.
The race began in Killybegs at 7.00 am and and finished in Glencolumbcille.
It has been heralded as being “The Most Scenic Marthon and Half Marathon in the World."
Interviewed moments after she crossed the line, Jenny said: "I am buzzing. It was absolutely brilliant."
She was interviewed by TV personality and entertainer Noel Cunningham.
There was also a half marathon and a marathon relay event.
Cathal McBride from Kerrykeel won the men's marathon.
In the region of 600 people registered. In addition to the marathon, there was a half-marathon and a marathon relay.
Organiser Eunan Quinn hopes that the race will become an annual event.
The emphasis was very much on participation and being able to complete a race along such a scenic route.
