After a tightly fought contest in MacCumhaill Park, Ballybofey tonight, Kilcar have edged past St. Eunan's to claim the 2015 Under-21 Football Championship title.
Full-time score: Kilcar 0-13 St Eunan’s 1-08
Kilcar had a two point lead over the Letterkenny lads at the half-time mark, and a McBrearty free kick at the beginning of the second half added to their tally. However, a goal from McWalters brought it back to a two point game for Noel Keaveny's side. Odhran McGinley swiftly added a point in a game which St. Eunan's were not going to relinquish easily, having claimed this same tile against Kilcar in 2014.
However, scores from Matthew McClean and Conor Doherty in the dying moments of the game clinched the victory for Kilcar, and they have emerged as the 2015 champions.
