Naomh Padraig’s Inishowen derby with Moville at Ture this weekend is a make or break tie for the Muff men after they lost their second successive game in Junior A Championship Group Two game Saturday night.

In an eventful encounter on the lush pastures of Convoy Muff were somewhat fortunate to be just two points down at the break after the home side had dominated long periods of the first half.

They finally began to get good ball up to their forwards after the break but a succession of misses in front of the post meant they continued to trail the home side

It began to look like it wouldn’t be their night as Barry McColgan saw his penalty come back off the crossbar midway through the second period and the sending off of three players in the final 10 minutes meant any comeback hopes they had evaporated.

Had McColgan’s penalty been successful it would have been a one point game but Convoy would point to a Laurence McMullan shot that came back off the crossbar towards the end of the first half as evidence that they too were unlucky not to ripple the net.

Final Score - Convoy 0-11 Muff 0-5
