Seventeen-year-old Finn Valley AC athlete Sommer Lecky is a proud as punch after winning a silver medal in the high jump at the World Under-20 Championships in Finland.
She produced a career best jump of 1.90 metres, and in doing so smashed the Irish record.
Only Karyna Taranda from Belarus went higher, taking gold after a clearance of 1.92m at the second attempt.
It's a huge achievement for Lecky, and augurs well for the future.
Shortly after winning the medal, she gave her reaction.
Lecky, from Castlederg in Co. Tyrone, competes with Finn Valley and is one of Ireland's rising stars in the world of athletics.
Her success comes after the Irish women’s sprint relay team won a brilliant silver medal on Saturday afternoon.
