The Swilly Seals swimming club had their first gala of the season on Saturday evening against Marlins swimming club from Ballyshannon. This was the first time these clubs have met in a club gala. This was a friendly meet which gave coaches from both clubs a chance to see new talent compete for the first time. The novices gave a great account of themselves as did the stalwarts.
The Swilly Seals were victorious in the end and coaches were impressed with what they saw.
The Swilly Seals now have around 150 swimmers from Letterkenny and areas around Donegal including Kilcar, Cruit Island, Fanad and Carrigart. These swimmers train up to four times a week.
The Seals are holding a fund raising car wash at Tinneys of Bonagee this Saturday in conjunction with Pramerica. So come along and get your car washed and support a great club.
