Illies Celtic Ladies are bang on course for a repeat of last year's treble after lifting the Inishowen cup on Thursday evening in Maginn Park.
The hot favourites inflicted a heavy 10-0 defeat on Carn FC to add the Inishowen trophy to their silverware stash, having retained the North West Super League title last week.
All that remains is the Ulster Cup, with John Doherty's all-conquering side now hoping to overcome Lagan Harps in the semi-final to keep the treble dream alive.
Noreen Doherty, Illies player and coach, spoke of her delight at last night's result - and added that she was personally pleased to be back in action after a year away from the pitch.
Doherty was heavily pregnant when her side claimed the treble - she gave birth to twins Katie-Jane and Sean on September 7 - but she has been back in the thick of the action this year and loving every minute of it.
She told us: "I'm so happy to be back playing this season - it was really hard standing on the sideline last year. Myself and dad (John Doherty) are so proud of the girls. It's great to retain the title and makes it all the sweeter when you're on the pitching playing alongside them.
"To top it all we had Dano (midfielder Caroline Gallagher) fly in from the States to lift the Inishowen trophy at Maginn, and Alana Doherty's comeback from injury couldn't have come at a better time.
"Onwards and upwards - we're going all out for the treble!"
