River Media, whose newspaper titles include the Kildare Post, Letterkenny Post, Donegal Post and Inish Times, is actively backing horse racing in Ireland.
Today sees the Kildare Post Maiden Race at Naas Racecourse with a quality field taking part over six furlongs.
The Kildare Post is the leading newspaper in Kildare with more than double the readership of any other local paper.
The Kildare Post is delighted to be sponsoring this big race, the second on a seven race card this evening at the course in Naas.
Ten go to post with Aidan O’Brien’s “Albert the Bold” the pre-race favourite.
He’s likely to be challenged by Jim Bolger’s debutant “Ring Speed” while Patrick Martin’s “Red All Star” may benefit from a drop in distance, having gone close on a number of outings.
“Insearchofadream” was fourth in a recent maiden at Fairyhouse and could be a value bet while another of Bolger’s debutant’s “So Focussed” could be worth an each-way punt.
The course is good to firm.
Naas racecourse is delighted to have the Kildare Post on board as a race sponsor.
River Media Managing Director, Padraig O’Dwyer, is an avid horseracing fan.
“Sponsoring this race completes a hat-trick for the Kildare Post as we proudly sponsored the INH Flat Race won by Jessica Harrington’s “High Stratos” at Punchestown in April. The Kildare Post was also a media partner for the Best Dressed Lady at the Guinness Spring Racing Festival at the Curragh so we are now proud to be associated with Kildare’s three courses,” he said.
