The Stranacarta Residents Association have stepped up their campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of Cockhill Bridge. The group have erected new posters on the approach to Buncrana, and also around the bridge.

A spokesperson for the Stranacarta Residents Association said: “We have also sent, on behalf of the residents, a formal complaint to the Road Safety Authority, and the Local Garda Superintendent, pointing out the very serious road safety issue with the bridge and pedestrians, and we are awaiting their response.”

The group will also be holding a petition signing event at Supervalu, Buncrana, this Saturday, May 31. An online petition is also available at the link:
