Donegal Railway Heritage Centre is delighted to announce just in time for Christmas, we have been able to acquire the most famous Donegal Railway travel poster ever produced, in fantastic detail, in its original "B1" size in glorious colour. The poster produced in 1910 features many landmarks from Donegal including Donegal Castle, Barnsmore Gap, Killybegs, the cliffs of Slieve League, Lough Eske, Glencolumbkille as well as a nice view of Derry City.
The poster (unframed) is available for €25 (25% Discount for Members to €18). The poster is presently only available through the museum directly, but we are hoping to have it available through a variety of bookshops in Donegal and Derry in the near future. The poster can be purchased directly at the Centre or posted at a cost of €8 (which includes packaging), €33, or €26 for Members.
It is also worth noting that several of our publications including “Though the Hills of Donegal”, “Donegal Railway Diary Part 1 1954-1955”, “Londonderry and Lough Swilly Railway” and “Drumboe The Donegal Engine” are now for the first time also available in various bookstores across the North West. Including:
- The Four Masters Bookshop, Donegal Town
- The Book Centre, Ballybofey
- Easons (beside bus station), Letterkenny
- A Novel Idea, Ballyshannon
- Atlantic Stores, Ballyliffen
- Little Acorns, Derry
