Pupils of Edeninfagh National School, Glenties, were the overall winners of Gartan Outdoor Education and Training Centre’s Mascot competition.

Their mascot will now be prominently displayed at the centre with the schools name along with it.

Edeninfagh National School’s entry was selected from a shortlist of finalists, and a representative from Gartan OETC visited each shortlisted school to select the overall winner.

The class of the winning mascot will now have a day of activities at the centre.

Each mascot entered had to reflect Gartan OETC’s ‘Green’ ethos and be constructed from recycled materials. The theme of the competiton was ‘An Adventure Sports Figure’.

Gartan OETC would like to thank all the schools who entered for their imaginative creations.
