Donegal's Jason Quigley meets Glen Tapia in the middle of the squared circle on Thursday night with the vacant NABF middleweight title on the line.
Since turning pro three years ago, Quigley has steadily climbed the ladder to amass an unblemished fight record to date of 12-0. The bout is the headline act on Thursday’s ‘Golden Boy on ESPN’ series of fight nights.
Speaking to the Donegal Post ahead of that clash with ‘Jersey Boy’ Tapia at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California, Quigley said: “This is the stage I’ve trained towards ever since I was a kid.
“This is the thing I’ve always wanted to get to in my career. Now that I’m here it’s time to go get it. I’m relaxed in the lead up – I’m enjoying it. But once fight time comes I’ll be switched on to grab this opportunity with both hands...
