The full vent of the early spring storm was witnessed by thousands tuning into Eileen Magnier reporting from Bundoran yesterday evening on RTE, as did Virgin Media, the old Tv3.

At present 769 customers are affected in the Glenties area; with upwards of 500 without electricity in the Carndonagh area; 29 in the Stranorlar area; 30 in the Donegal area; 109 in the Derrybeg area; 59 in the Cullion area; 19 in the Milford area.

Other isolated interruptions have also taken place.
